reading strategies

these are tools that allow us to perform better understanding at the time of reading of any text

1. previewing: get familiar with pictures, titles and instructions before reading the text. This requires reading titles, look at the pictures, find names, dates, and numbers.


2. scanning: look through a text quickly without reading, to find specific information. this requires use key words to find specific information, and stop scanning when you find what you want.


3. skimming: read the first lines of the paragraphs to get the general idea

4. predicting : use clues to guess what the reading is about. get some clues form: pictures, tittles or heading, think about what you already know and predict.

Aplique las estrategias 1 y 4 antes de leer el texto “Spider Webs” y explique a continuación cuáles son las ideas generadas a partir de la lectura global.

De acuerdo al titulo que significa telarañas y la imagen que sale al comienzo de la lectura podiamos decir que es un articulo que  puede hablar acerca de la relacion de beneficios o perjuicios  que puede llegar a tener una araña con su telaraña, tambien nos puede explicar el por que una araña teje o que lo obliga hacerlo para poder subsistir y si es realmente necesario hacerlo.

Aplique las estrategias 3 y deduzca la idea principal de cada párrafo antes de leer el texto por completo.

parrafo 1:la morfología de las arañas permiten que estas pueden trepar las telarañas debido a su liviano peso y su pequeño tamaño 

parrafo 2 : ponen sus huevos en la telaraña, esto con el fin de que no corran peligros y se mantengan juntos 

parrafo 3:  las arañas se esconden en las telarañas gracias a que son oscuras

parrafo 4:  las telarañas permiten que los insectos queden aderidos a estas tal vez quedan enredados en las telarañas y sirven de alimento

6) The passage lists three reasons why spiders spin webs (paragraph 1). Of these reasons, which do you think is the most important? Why?

I think the most important of the three reasons is that spiders can hide the dangers because there are predators, while the eggs can be placed elsewhere and the food also can get otherwise.

7) Are the spider webs good? Do spiders need them? Why or why not?

Cobwebs are good for spiders and giving them a good method of living, since there can accommodate, can get food and to care for their eggs it is why they are required to be woven, of not having them undergo to survive and would easily the food of other animals.
